Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had neat and clean rooms, but lacked soundproofing and felt more like an average B&B room from the 90s than 'Grand'. The tiny bathroom and very soft mattress were noticeable drawbacks. Unfortunately, the hotel wasn't very dog and dog owner friendly, with a 50 euro extra charge, contrasting with top hotels that typically offer no additional fee or a maximum of 10 euros with better room options.
The hotel offers good value for money with excellent, very friendly staff and a satisfying breakfast. However, the room setup felt more like a 3-star hotel, with limited amenities and an extra charge for dog owners. But, the central location in Oslo is unbeatable.
My stay at the hotel was quite interesting. The room was immaculate and comfortable, but a bit odd with 5 beds. It was a bit dingy and warm with no air conditioning or working ventilation. The service was really helpful and polite. The location was central but slightly outdated. The dining experience was good with a wide selection. Overall, a mixed but memorable experience.
The hotel is very central and close to National Theatre Station, making it easy to access from the airport express train. The lobby area and restaurant are beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are a good size. However, the noise from next door visitors at 5 am was disturbing.
The hotel's location was very central, ideal for everything in Oslo. The rooms, though slightly old fashioned, were okay but not 5-star quality. The staff were really friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive experience. However, the fact that the hotel's structure was straight at another building was disappointing.
The hotel offers exceptional value for the standard with nice rooms. The late-night noise was a bit of a drawback, but the clean rooms, beautiful city view, and spacious modern bathroom with high-quality amenities made up for it. The extremely comfortable beds added to the overall positive experience.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was superb, right in the center of the city, making it convenient for exploring. However, the room I initially received was small and dated, and there were extra charges for having a dog. The service was a mixed bag, with some issues in cleanliness but a helpful bar staff. The dining experience at the historical Grand Cafe was delightful, offering a rich assortment of food.
I was pleased with the hotel's convenient location right between the major shopping pedestrian street and all the tourist attractions. The service was very helpful and accommodating, making my stay enjoyable. However, the rooms were a bit warmer than I preferred and not consistent with the pictures shown online.
I chose this hotel despite being pricier due to the appealing internet photos but was disappointed upon arrival. The room was smaller than anticipated, lacking space to unpack. However, it did have all the essentials I needed. The service was hit or miss, with some overly persistent wake-up calls and indifferent staff, yet others were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The location was ideal, right in the heart of town near major attractions. The dining options were adequate but not exceptional, and the facilities were decent overall.
